If you like hanging outdoors a lot then you can use your IPod or laptop using the Solio. Also if you go camping then a solar powered device might be useful.

Otherwise it may be better to get a rechargeable Lithium power source and just anticipate outdoors or camping moments.

If you have enough use for it then you should stick with one of the Solios, its by far the best solar charger.

If your going to use it once, and then put it in a cupboard and forget about it, then its a lot of money to spend, but if you plan on using it, then its definatly mmoney well spent - the solio will charge pretty much anything.

For what its worth, the magnesium is the more complete charger but id think your be happy with both; check the actual specs first and find which one will meet your needs most.
