the first guy has it. the engine must be running to turn the compressor. Unless there is some kind of electric compressor out there, but that would take an outrageous amount of electricity. so i dont imagine there is one.

There isn't, that you'd like.

Solar isn't terribly cheap. You might find practical solar chargers for the $50 range.

Wind-up for the likes of an ipod isn't practical at all.
