India's line voltage is 230V running at 50Hz, just like Europe. Whatever information you find online for Europe should also apply to power in India. Laptop is probably fine, just check to make sure that it can operate off of 100-240V. You will need a plug adapter for the plug type. Your cell phone may be incompatible with the cell phones in India. Check with your phone service provider and also get the cost to use it there. You might find that if your T-Mobile BlackBerry phones cost a lot to use, then it might just be better to get a phone in India or a prepaid phone.  You can use a voltage adapter with the hair straightner, since that is just a heating element. Appliances with fans in them, such as a hair dryer, don't usually perform will running at 50Hz when they are designed for 60Hz. I would buy the hair dryer there.

Here in North America, we use 110V, current is proabably too weak for your other equipments if you guys use 240V in Isreal, similar to Asia.
However, in the case of your charger, you don't need a converter. Like laptop computer, there is already an in-built converter in your charger. You should be able to plug it in as long as you have the right adapter.

For other electronics where you do need an external converter, you have to get one that converts from 240V to 110V in order to use them in N. America.

Circuit power consumption is Input power minus load power to battery.

Calculated circuit power would be the sum of the calculated power consumed by all individual components. The 7805 would consume the most power due to its need to have dynamic range capability.
