Fernando Said:

what is the best way to charge your laptop on a coach bus?

We Answered:

Buses unlike Amtrak Rail do not have electrical outlets. Buy a spare battery, fully charge it before leaving and swap it out. A spare battery is always a good thing to have.

Lance Said:

My laptop is not detecting wireless networks when the charger is plugged in. Why?

We Answered:

The problem might be the adapter. Most laptops have a switch to turn the wireless adapter on and off. It has nothing to do with the power cord. Make sure that the adapter is turned on, if it's usb make sure it's plugged in, is enabled, and has all the proper drivers.

Question about my laptop>>>>>>>>?

We Answered:

If you have a power supply that connects it to the AC power; it IS the charger; bring it along. To operate an a car's 12 volt supply you would need an adapter from the computer's manufacturer (if they make one). Different computers vary widely in their power needs so you won't find a universal device.

Is there a portable USB battery charger?

We Answered:

There's one here that seems perfect for what you're looking for. It's $15 for the device itself, and $10-$15 for the tip to connect to your player:

Also, ThinkGeek offers several chargers you may be interested. They're a bit overpriced, but still really handy to have.

This one charges its own battery with AC power, then stores it so you can take it with you:

..Same concept here, except it charges itself with USB:

This one is solar powered:

And finally, I saw one similar to the first one I listed at Dollarama. It was $2 and (not surprisingly) wasn't that great, but it did work.

How could I keep my laptop internet connected on the way to Myrtle Beach?

We Answered:

Get a really long ethernet cord and a really long extension cord...you should be fine!

But seriously...the only way to try to keep your laptop connected over a 12-hour drive would be to invest in a wireless broadband card, which will require a monthly fee (which will of course vary depending upon the carrier you choose). Below, I've linked to one that Verizon offers - not as a recommendation, but as a general example of what you can expect to need.

As far as charging your laptop, you could invest in a laptop car adapter (again, a general example is linked below). Or you could invest in a portable power cell (linked below, general example). Either one would serve that purpose.

Now, in reality, there is no guarantee that your laptop will stay connected to the internet for every second of your 12-hour trip to Myrtle Beach. You may likely pass through some rural areas that do not have coverage for the service you buy. The technology, to my knowledge, simply does not exist to keep you entirely "logged-on" during a trip of this magnitude (even with Blackberries and iPhones - they're only as good as their service coverage).

Honestly, if I were you - I'd possibly invest in the extra power source so I could use my laptop for watching DVDs on the way. I wouldn't invest in the wireless broadband card. Of course, the final decision is up to you - but I think you'd be spending far too much money just for the possibility of having internet access during your trip.
