Charger For Laptop Battery

Johnnie Said:

How do I know if my laptop battery is bad, or if the laptop battery charger is bad?

We Answered:

The battery should never just stop charging. It would slowly diminish power over time.

If you plug in the charging cord and the charging light comes on then there is something between the interface and the battery. Take it to a computer store to fix it.
Seeing how you had the problem before, this is probably the answer.

If you plug in the cord and no light comes on then you need a new cord.

How to store my laptop battery charger? should i wrap the cords...?

We Answered:

the pop is normal, its an initial surge of power into the charger.. if you wing the cords about the chrager or whatever, it will twist up the wires inside the cable and eventually break them especially if they get folded in the sam eplace every time. I would losely bundle the cord up like christmas tree lights and store it that way

How long does a laptop battery charger last?

We Answered:

the charger should last forever as long as you take care of it.. However there are many times when they can go bad... Also if the cord gets stretched out that can ruin it also. You most likely have a faulty battery/charger. I do not believe the batteries are under warranty on laptops. You can contact the place where you purchased it from though and ask them. If you do need to replace your battery or charger you can get one for cheap from http://www.needbattery.com

Laptop battery charger for car?

We Answered:

You will need a power inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. You can get them at any electronics store like Fry's, Radio Shack, Circuit City or Best Buy. Here is an example:
