this is not a good idea at all. the charger is a current delivery device, it does not have voltage regulation. without a battery connected, its terminal voltage could soar to a high value and damage your equipment. The charger may not have much ripple reduction and so if you connect to an audio device, like MP3 or CD player, you will hear a lot of hum. Ripple may also damage digital electronics if it allows the supply voltage to drop too low.
