The other respondee is correct, a solar charger for a macbook is really not here yet. I don't know about pricing but a visit to a Apple Store would clarify this. Solar chargers at the moment are good for small items like rechargeable batteries or mobile phones.

We just stared carrying this product. It has a built in battery that can be charged by a solar power. You can then charge any of your devices from the battery. This is nice because you don't have to leave your laptop out in the sun to charge it.

The whole solution costs about $500, it would be cheaper to buy an international converter kit to just plug it into the wall. But if you are going someplace without power, this is a great solution.
