Trying to manually charge it by the method you planned on using could be extremely dangerous, the battery could burst a hole, the chemicals inside could kill you if that happened. You should let your phone go completely flat some times. If you keep plugging it in even time the 'battery low' message comes up, part of your battery can become decharged and therefore useless

Your phone requires certain parameters to be charged. Check the label of the original charger and it will show what voltage and current is needed. It is specific to the device. Don't run 12 volts of direct current (DC) through it without checking!!!! You could fry it. If you don't have the original charger send another question with the model number of your phone.
