We Answered:

I think your 100 feet wire is killing your current. If you think about it, wire itself has it's own resistance and if you have a 100 feet of wires, you'll still loose a huge amount of current since its being used up.

Also, sunlight. Is the same amount of sunlight even covering all 40 of your solar panels? If not, or if its varying, that is another problem.
