$1600 for a panel large enough to produce 208 watts. At that rate it would cost about $93,000.00 it you used 100 amps. Don't know your house's mode but in the peak months this might not be enough. That is just for the panels, you will also need storage (batteries) and a way to convert it to 120 volts. This is also pricey. Plus, the sun has to shine very often. One source I looked stated the percent of electricity produced this way was 0 %. Not enough to even reach 1 %. If it was cheap, everyone would be doing it. Solar heat is a little different, several ways to make things to produce solar heat and it is not that expensive.
