How To Build A Solar Cell

Dwight Said:

Using iPod with solar energy?

We Answered:

It is already done. Solar backpacks, solar messanger bags, solar trunk bags for bikes and solar camera bags. Then there are thin film solar panels that ether fold or roll up.

All you have to do is just wear a backpack and plug your cell or IPod into it. Or if you are riding just plug into your trunk bag.

How many amps is required to charge a laptop battery with solar power?

We Answered:

You will need a higher voltage than the battery to recharge it.

As the applied voltage increases current will begine to flow into the battery in the reverse direction from when it discharges. The amount of current used during charge will depend upon how much additional voltage above the battery potential is applied, the internal resistance of the battery, and the abiiity of the charger to supply the current at the rated voltage.

The amp rating of the charger is a capability of the charger to supply upto the rated current while being able to supply the rated voltage.
If your battery demands more current than your charger can supply the charging voltage will be pulled down to a lower potential. Conversly if the battery doesn't demand much current only the amount of current required by the battery will be drawn from the charger.

How's the idea of building moving (rolling) roads? Does it provide solution to traffic and pollution issues.

We Answered:

were you smoking something when this bright idea came to mind? lets see... it would have to be moving pretty slow to be safe enough to get on to.. like the moving floors you find at some airports.. which would be more of an inconvenience then a benefit... most people walk faster then those things move.
then theres an issue with getting to where u are trying to go... would these "rolling roads" allow you to turn off onto other ones like real roads or would you have to get off one and walk to another?

not to mention your vehicle offers protection from the weather while traveling... how exposed would these roads be?

im not necassarily saying its a stupid idea... its just not very practical.. it seems very limited in its uses and would be a bigger hinderance then sitting in traffic a few mins a day...
