Hmm, all these folks yammering on about night-time usage. But just imagine being able to meet ALL of our day-time needs without pollution. You know, the time of day when rates are higher because consumption is higher.

Imagine if every big box store, shopping mall, movie theater and office block had solar panels required as part of the design. We already have similar planning requirements in place like running water, flush toilets and adequate heating, cooling and lighting. This is just a different way of meeting two of those needs. Excess power goes into the grid for other uses.

The highway system might be best used to charge batteries for electric cars. Either top up at the parking space while eating or buy a charged battery and turn the old one in for a deposit.
