Gail Said:

How do I become a solar panel installer?

We Answered:

The SEI group specializes in training folks on installation of solar systems
They have courses available in different cities they also have an online class. I would not suggest the online course (I took it) I think real classroom time is much better. If you cannot make a class I would suggest getting their training book. It has all the exercises the online course has and has great info and is about 10% of the cost of the online course. Their link is the solarenergy.org below

ASES is the American Solar Energy Society. They have a conference once a year with training courses. Their website also has links to explore

NABCEP is an organization that certifies installers.

Good luck

Olga Said:

how much do solar panel installers earn a month?

We Answered:

Solar panels are installed by various tradesmen. Since there is often piping and wiring involved, it is a common sideline of plumbers and electricians. Like anything else in the trades, you start at the bottom. You'd be put to work with a more experienced worker and pretty much do what he says until you can start to handle things. In the case of plumbers and electricians, you can expect a five year apprenticeship. It's actually pretty tough physical work. Rooftops, ladders, extreme heat, extreme cold, heavy lifting, etc.

Whatever the future brings, Heating and Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical work will be involved.

You'll start at 8,12,or maybe 16 dollars an hour depending where you live. From there there is really no limit.
