2.The solar cell is a cell which is having a p-n junction.
3.So, when the solar energy is fall on the cell,a package of photons will penetrate in the p-n junction.
4.the photon is nothing but apair of electron&hole.
5.Due to that penetration the conductivity takes place at the junction.And the electricity is produced due to the solar energy.
BENIFITS:
1.Here the source is a sun light.It isn a free of cost to everybody.So,everybody can use this at alow cost.
2.No,use of controllers to control the source.
3.It is also used as arechargers like in calculators,etc.,

- Photoelectrochemical is analogous to a battery that gets its charge from sunlight.
