In the uk, there's a lovely lady i know who lives in a straw bale house, as far as i know she is off the grid. Her name is Caroline Barry, she is a councillor for Mendip area, Somerset. There is also the communities at Tinkers Bubble, Kings Hill and Dragons Hill, all around Somerset area, they are bender communities and living in assorted low impact dwellings.
I also have some horse drawn friends who live all year round in their horsedrawn wagons.
