Corey Said:
Starting PV company? What training is mandatory for applications of solar panels? We Answered:
It would be better to work for an established solar company for a while, to learn the business.I don't know what the Texas requirements are, but for California, there is one type of license for installing panels, and another for hooking them up (which is just the same as an Electrician). There is also a C-10 kind of license that does both. You need to pass a State exam to get these certifications, and have to log a certain number of practical hours in the field (for example, as an apprentice). I don't think just taking a course on solar energy qualifies a person.
There is also a NABCEP certification, which is a well-recognized credential, but it doesn't help to fulfill any legal requirements, as far as I know. A solar company may have only a few people, or none, with such a certification.

'Need service providers to use our pool heating solar panels for other use?We Answered:
well photovoltaic panels can be installed, but they have nothing to do with the pool system....I know a company that does both electrical and water heating they could help you they work in the San Ramon area I believe...just hit the "contact me" button on the website listed below with your number and address and I will have them contact you: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com…Billie Said:
can i take my solar panels off my roof?We Answered:
You will probably void the installer's warranty on the system, but if you own the panels, they're yours to take. The kindest thing to do would be to leave the standoffs, if you're taking the racks. If you take the standoffs, that leaves holes in your roof, not good unless you're going to re-roof. I would leave the inverter, which is no good off-grid, anyway, but turn off the breaker feeding the panel. Make PV an easy drop-in for the next owner. But personally, I would leave the panels. They are probably increasing the saleability of the house, and possibly the price. And besides, I expect a steep drop in price, maybe 25% from last year, in panel prices later this year.
If I misunderstood, and you're keeping both houses, many of the arguments could still apply.
