You might have good luck with one of those cheap ($20-30) car battery slow-charging panels that plug into your cigarette lighter (from ebay) and use it with a low-powered motor from allelectronics.com that the other guy linked to. I wouldn't worry too much about matching voltages, just get a small motor that will run on less than 12V.

Hey Geek, NW Sales does not make solar panels, they are a marketing clearing house, much like Expedia, Travelocity and others are not an airline, they market travel suppliers like airlines, rental car and hotels using their website. They have partnered with Real Goods, a company that has been around for years to sell other peoples green products. You can go to real goods own website and see all the products and prices. To say a user can save up to $60,000 is like a phone company saying you can save 55% on rates. On what rates? What is the real cost? All you can do is ask them for a "Quote," and then wait for them to write up a full system cost for you, then take it and compare it to someone elses. If you really want to compare products and suppliers, check out Home Power Magazine, we did 12 years ago, now our home is powered by the wind and sun. The people and places we eneded up doing business with did ot promise us 50% off, or savings of up to any amount of money. In the end, our entire system cost a lot less than $60,000 anyway. I've run across them in Home Depot, but not always. The easiest place to find them is on the net.

But depending what your intended use is will determine which one you want to get. The below link explains some of the different types available and what their uses tend to be.

You need not have to build a 200 square meter solar panel to save lots of money on energy, a much smaller can be built by following online instructions.

You realize, don't you, that even if 100% perfectly efficient solar cells were invented, and we covered the entire USA with them, they would not generate anywhere near enough energy to supply our energy needs?

Solar cells shouldn't need a voltage regulator for simple projects like driving motors or powering CMOS electronic circuits. I would need to know a little more on your goals for the project to help. However, I will put a few links that may be helpful to solar cells and some voltage regulators.

The first link is general solar cell info and includes manufacturer lists at the end. The second is a link to educational solar cell kits and cells that may be useful for you. The last one is Digi-Key which is good for finding components to make your own voltage regulator.
