STRUCTURE
Technical Committee on Standardization: The PV GAP Technical Committee on Standardization is open to all experts globally. PV GAP will accept and promote globally the IEC Standards. If no IEC standard is available, then the Technical Committee on Standardization could write PV specifications, or based on the recommendation of the Technical Committee on Standardization, PV GAP could accept existing or future standards of other bodies as "PV GAP Recommended Specifications (PVRS)." The Board of PV GAP will review these recommendations and, if accepted, PV GAP will promote their use globally. These PVRSs will then be submitted to IEC TC 82 to develop them into permanent IEC Standards, which, when completed, will replace the PVRS. Members are currently as follows:
Reference Manual Committee : Chairman, B McNelis (IT Power, UK) The PV GAP Reference Manual gives details of the PV GAP system to approve PV components and systems. The sections of the Reference Manual include Part I General review the Global Approval Program for PV (PV GAP) and the PV GAP's approval process; Part II Details of the approval process; Part II PV Standards and PVRSs; Part IV Statutes and Bye-Laws; and Part V a Glossary of Terms. The Reference Manual was first issued in 1998 and will be revised as necessary. The Reference Manual is available from the PV GAP's Central Office for US$ 170.00 To order, please go to Publications.
Committee for Outdoor Testing : The Committee for Outdoor Testing was formed during the 10th Board Meeting in March 2005 from the earlier Testing Laboratory Committee. Members are currently as follows:
