PV GAP MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

MEMBERS (manufacturers, dealers, assemblers, installers):
1. Affiliated members of PV Industry Associations: regional or country);
2. Certified individual members from regions or countries where no PV Industry Association exists or can be formed.

OBSERVERS (manufacturers, dealers, assemblers, installers):
PV Organizations not yet approved, but which have declared their intention to become approved within a certain period of time.

SUPPORTING/ADVISORY ORGANIZATIONS:
Organizations expressing an interest in supporting the PV GAP initiative. The members of this Supporting Group represent basically the users of PV, and their role is extremely important to balance the organization and to steer PV GAP in a customer-oriented direction.

PV GAP Membership Benefits

Members in PV GAP will be only those organizations that accept the PV GAP principles.

The major benefit for a member that receives certification is that it will receive a license to display the globally recognized PV GAP "Quality Seal" on its products or services.

Conditions of license of the PV GAP "Quality Seal":

• PV Organization (manufacturer, dealer, assembler, installer) approved by IECQ-CECC

• Certification registered by PV GAP

• License agreement signed by Organization

Conditions to revoke the license of the PV GAP "Quality Seal":

• Loosing certification

• Not accepting the PV Gap objectives

• Nonpayment of membership dues or licensing fees

• maintains and controls the utilization of the "Quality Seal"

Information services:

• Maintain, update, and make available a list of Licensed Organizations

• Make available and continuously update the list of IEC and PV GAP "RS" standards

• Provide and continuously update the list of approved testing laboratories and their prices for services

• Maintain, update, and make available a PV Reference Manual

• Inform members about problematic organizations

• Maintain the PV GAP files
